A new study has revealed the presence of the Arabian Leopard in the Sultanate, the Environment Authority said. The Environment Conservation Office revealed the first scientific documentation specialized in the existence of the Arabian Leopard in the west of the Wilayat of Dhalkut. This is after a study was conducted in the current year using a number of modern techniques like trapping cameras and surveys of antiquities, and collecting samples of predator dung. The study also revealed the existence of eight species of wild mammals inhabiting the region, where it represents at least 17 percent of the land mammals registered in Oman.
