The Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s Decision 206/2018 was issued recently to encourage inventors and researchers and simplify different administrative procedures while highlighting innovation as of significant national economic value.
He also pointed out that the Omani Intellectual Property Society is fully aware that the decision and its related outcomes will soon yield results.
Alawi also said the Omani Intellectual Property Society is looking forward to informing all categories of the society regarding the intellectual property rights and seeking to disseminate awareness among employees in the public and private sectors,
universities, schools, employers, companies, inventors and all segments of society, and all scientific and literary disciplines.
He added that the Omani Intellectual Property Society seeks to maintain contact with institutions, associations and individuals so as to respond to any IP-related queries, explain the methods for protecting intellectual property rights and provide information.
