Oman reports 99 new COVID-19 cases, 2,447 in total

The Omani Ministry of Health announced on Friday 99 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 2,447.

According to a statement issued by the ministry, out of the 99 new cases, 41 are Omanis, and all the new cases are related to community contact.

The statement pointed out that the total number of the recovered cases in the country hit 495 and the death toll reached 11.

The ministry called on everyone to observe the procedures for quarantine, not to go to public places or places of worship, and to ensure public hygiene.
