Oman has today said that its overall infections of the coronavirus have reached 84,818, an increase of 166 new cases against the tally reported the day before.

The Omani Health Ministry put the country’s total deaths from COVID-19 at 646 with four new fatalities.

The total number of recovered patients in the sultanate has climbed to 79,409, or 93.6 per cent, the ministry said, according to the Omani news agency ONA.

The ministry added that the number of patients receiving intensive care treatment are 148.

Oman last week lifted a ban on night-time movement that was imposed to curb the spread of COVID-19.
