Oman: Construction begins on women and children hospital

The hospital was financed by private equity company Oman Investment Corporation (OIC) along with Ahli Bank & Oman Development Bank.

The hospital will be a 60-bed facility, due to open 2022.

In March, OIC chief executive Kalat Al Bulooshi had said that its first private equity investment vehicle, Aman Healthcare Services, would begin construction of the hospital this year.

Aman Healthcare also intends to develop a second 70-bed specialised women and children hospital in Muscat.

Aman Healthcare is a healthcare services investment company, managed by Aman Capital, a wholly owned subsidiary of OIC.
