The ministry announced one new death from COVID-19, raising Kuwait’s total such fatalities to 522 so far, the Kuwaiti news agency KUNA reported.
There are 97 patients receiving intensive care treatment, Dr Al Sanad said.
Kuwait’s total virus tests have reached 603,604 after 4,191 tests have been done over the past 24 hours.
The Health Ministry also said that 616 more patients have recovered from COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, bringing to 74,522 the overall number of recoveries from the disease in Kuwait.
In recent weeks, Kuwait has loosened virus-related restrictions. A partial nationwide curfew is due to be lifted next Sunday.
