Among today’s cases, 177 were detected among expatriate workers, and 175 were found to have been exposed to active cases while 10 are travel-related.
In a series of tweets, the ministry said that there have been 412 additional recoveries in the country, increasing total recoveries to 9,468.
“There are currently 80 COVID-19 cases receiving treatment, of which 13 are in a critical condition. 5,239 cases are stable out of a total of 5,252 active cases,” the ministry tweeted.
Earlier last night, the ministry also reported the death of a 34-year-old male expatriate. The deceased, along with all other active COVID19 cases, had been placed in isolation and received extensive 24-hour treatment from a specialized medical team
