Pranav Mehta struck a superb century, Satnam Singh bowled a splendid spell, taking 4 for 11 while Sachin Kumar stamped his authority on the game with a magnificent all-round display in Arabian Regional Travel and Tourism’s (ARTT) massive win over OCT Muscat in an A Division mismatch on Oman Cricket’s grassy ground 1 in Amerat on Saturday.

Invited to bat first, ARTT piled up 337 for 7 in 50 overs, thanks to brilliant batting by Pranav (104), Adeel Abbas (55) and Sachin (46). Shaed Al Balushi claimed 3 for 43 while Mohammed Aslam took 2 for 89.

OCT Muscat folded up for a meagre 65 in 19 overs. Satnam was the pick of ARTT bowlers, taking four wickets while Sachin claimed 3 for 24.

Brief Scores (A Division): Arabian Regional Travel and Tourism 337 for 7 in 50 overs (Pranav Mehta 104 – 13×4, 3×6, Adeel Abbas 55 – 4×4, Sachin Kumar 46 – 5×4, 1×6, Shaed Al Balushi 3-43, Mohammed Aslam 2-89) beat OCT Muscat 65 all out in 19 overs (Majid Hussein 22 – 2×4, Rashad Al Balushi 14 – 3×4, Satnam Singh 4-11, Sachin Kumar 3-24) by 272 runs.

Mallya helps Alpha win



Earlier, in another A Division clash, ChetanMallya’s 4 for 24 was instrumental in fetching Arm Alpha an exciting 14-run victory against AER at the same venue on Friday.
